2. For which environmental factors are Nershco provisionally accredited and approved as an Approved Inspection Authority (AIA) with the Department of Labour?
For the following environmental factors:
  • Physical environmental factors (noise and ventilation)
  • Chemical environmental factors (all hazardous chemical substances, including asbestos and lead)
  • Biological environmental factors
3. Is it a requirement to be registered as an Approved Inspection Authority (AIA) for measuring heat and illumination?
No, it is not a requirement.
4. Can Nershco perform occupational hygiene functions as a part-time or full-time Occupational Hygienist in terms of the Mine, Health and Safety Act?
